Division of Gynecologic Oncology
The Northwestern Medicine Division of Gynecologic Oncology is devoted to the prevention, early detection and treatment of all gynecologic cancers.
We understand that the diagnosis of cancer can be a difficult time for our patients and their families. Our highly specialized team of experts is here to help. The Northwestern Medicine gynecologic oncology division tailors each patient’s treatment based on her unique needs to provide personalized care.
The gynecologic oncologists at Northwestern are trained in both surgery and chemotherapy which allows for continuity of care from diagnosis through survivorship.
Our team includes a medical oncologist who specializes in gynecologic cancer therapies and works to translate basic science research into the latest treatment options.
As part of our comprehensive approach to cancer treatment, our physicians work in partnership with a variety of different specialists to provide tailored treatment. These partnerships include:
Our providers see patients in the Maggie Daley Center for Women’s Cancer Care within Prentice Women’s Hospital, the only dedicated women’s hospital in the Chicagoland area.
The Maggie Daley Center for Women’s Cancer Care is part of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University which is located in downtown Chicago, on the Northwestern Memorial Hospital campus.
The Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of only two NCI-designated cancer centers in Chicago.
