Meet our Woman to Woman Team
Emily Hinchcliff, MD, MPH
Dr. Hinchcliff hails from upstate New York originally, then received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She stayed on to complete residency training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital Integrated Residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, followed by a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. During fellowship, she also received her Masters in Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health, with a concentration in clinical trial design and epidemiology. Throughout her training, she has received numerous accolades and awards for her excellence in clinical care, skills as an educator, and her leadership. She is excited to provide comprehensive and personalized care for women with gynecologic malignancies. Passionate about improving outcomes for these patients, her research interests center on developing novel therapeutic options through the design of innovative early phase clinical trials. She has a particular focus on the role of immunotherapy in gynecologic cancer, and has received funding for both clinical and translational research in this area. Additionally, she has served on multiple national committees including the New Investigators Committee of NRG Oncology, and the Society for Gynecologic Oncology Education and Program Committees. |
Nicole Tasker, RN, MSN, FNP-BC
Nicole graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from High Point University and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Chester University. She started her oncology nursing career at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, working with adult hematological malignancies. After years of bedside nursing, Nicole advanced her career by earning a Master of Science Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Simmons College in Boston while continuing to provide care for patients with hematological malignancies. Nicole joined the gynecologic oncology team at Northwestern in December 2018. She feels fortunate to work with a wonderful team and continue to provide compassionate and quality care to women with gynecologic cancers. |
Mandi Buss, LCSW
Mandi graduated with a Master of Arts degree in clinical social work from The University of Chicago, followed by experience in diverse practice settings throughout the Chicagoland area. In pursuit of her professional passion to support families managing chronic or life-threatening illnesses in the medical setting, Mandi started her oncology social work career at Advocate Children’s Hospital within its pediatric oncology program. Mandi advanced her clinical experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center through positions on pediatric and adult oncology services, both inpatient and outpatient. She holds special interest in the processes of adjustment and coping throughout the cancer trajectory and beyond for patients and their family systems. Mandi joined the Supportive Oncology program at Northwestern in September 2020, where she serves in her role as dedicated clinical social worker to the gynecology oncology and urology oncology services, providing expert psychosocial care to patients. She feels fortunate to partner with such skilled, compassionate team members in caring for individuals with cancer. Mandi values the role of peer mentorship in sustaining the well-being of women with gynecological cancers, and she is grateful for the opportunity to support these transformative connections through Woman to Woman. |
Anne Grace, PhD
Anne is a senior clinical research associate in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Northwestern University. She graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and received her PhD in biomedical science from the University of Toledo. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship in immunology at Thomas Jefferson University and a research administration fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Anne took her first job at Northwestern where she has been working in different roles of research administration for the past 10 years. Anne joined the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in 2015 and feels very fortunate to work with an incredibly dedicated team of clinicians and researchers. Her involvement with Woman to Woman began in 2016 when she helped obtain program funding and assisted with the development and implementation of the Northwestern chapter. Anne is excited to see the program grow and is grateful to have the opportunity to work with such a supportive group of patient volunteers and advocates. |
Dara Alynna Belarmino, BA
Dara graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Whittier College. Her passion for patient care has been ingrained in her since childhood with a strong belief in quality of life and patient care beyond treatment. Dara started her healthcare career in 2011 as a monitor technician in telemetry at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles. She continued working in healthcare as a patient access representative in a local community hospital before moving on to UCLA Health, where she was the Executive Assistant and Fellowship Coordinator at the UCLA Cardiac Arrhythmia Center. Dara joined the gynecologic oncology team as an Administrative Coordinator at Northwestern Medicine in September 2019. She is excited to serve as program coordinator for the Woman to Woman program. She looks forward to working with this dedicated team of professionals and inspiring group of patient volunteers and mentees. |
