Raanan Y. Alter, MD

Dr. Raanan Alter is a gynecologic oncologist at Northwestern Medicine. Dr. Alter is a skilled surgeon with expertise in robotic surgery to manage gynecologic cancer. He is committed to offering patients a minimally invasive surgical approach whenever possible. He strives to deliver state-of-the-art surgical treatment and to offer the latest in clinical trials to ensure the best options for his patients.

​Dr. Alter received his medical degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine before completing his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Alter went on to complete a gynecologic oncology fellowship at the University of Chicago.
